Looking Ahead

As my novel approaches publication, I look back on how I got to this point. It was a mix of different events, mostly with my son. Different ideas, different concepts. Changing plot lines. Different storyline characters.

It begins in the mid-1920s, an era after the First World War, during prohibition, and before the Great Depression. Three men head towards the newly formed Yugoslavia. They get to a small town and find a man named Cronan. After meeting him they head to The Door and disappear. Those they had been meeting with for years finally discover they are lost and prepare to find them. Taking a cruise ship to the same town they begin their search to find those lost. Now joined by Cronan, they all enter the cave behind The Door and are met with challenges they never expected.

They separate. as they move forward they encounter challenges and learn of things they had never expected. They work to meet the challenges before them as they see the longer, more dangerous and deadly threat ahead.
